Sailing through the Botshols nature area
Sail with the ranger
Discover the deserted low moor area Botshol through a 2-hour boat trip. Sail through the narrow ditches and wide ponds and cross the nature reserve. During the trip, the forester tells you all about the landscape, plants and animals of Botshol.
Surprises along the way
The Botshols nature reserve is located between Abcoude and Vinkeveen. It is a varied nature reserve with large ponds, narrow ditches, reed land and swamp forest. Because the area is so varied, it is difficult to say which surprises will be visible during the boat trip. Sometimes you see birds like the spoonbill and the cormorant, other times it can just be an egret. You will also visit a piece of quaking bog. Here you can get acquainted with sundew: a carnivorous plant. In short, enjoy and let yourself be surprised!
Visit the Botshols area by bicycle and discover the beautiful surroundings of the Vecht region. Even if you do not bring your own bike to the hotel, you can still use this opportunity. Reserve 1 of our (electric) bicycles for this and spend the whole day in nature. With different routes towards Botshols you can choose which spots you want to admire along the way. After sailing and cycling you can enjoy dinner in the à la carte restaurant when you return to the hotel. To end the day relaxed, you can visit the hotel's Wellness in the evening. This way you can also relax during your active stay!
