Sailing through the Botshols nature area
Sail with the ranger
Discover the deserted low moor area Botshol through a 2-hour boat trip. Sail through the narrow ditches and wide ponds and cross the nature reserve. During the trip, the forester tells you all about the landscape, plants and animals of Botshol.
Surprises along the way
The Botshols nature reserve is located between Abcoude and Vinkeveen. It is a varied nature reserve with large ponds, narrow ditches, reed land and swamp forest. Because the area is so varied, it is difficult to say which surprises will be visible during the boat trip. Sometimes you see birds like the spoonbill and the cormorant, other times it can just be an egret. You will also visit a piece of quaking bog. Here you can get acquainted with sundew: a carnivorous plant. In short, enjoy and let yourself be surprised!
