De Haar Castle
Discover the beauty of De Haar Castle in Haarzuilens. The castle was built in the 12th century and is the largest in the Netherlands. It is only a 5-minute car ride from our hotel. The castle is particularly luxurious and the surrounding parkland is especially impressive. Various guided tours are available, which give an excellent impression of the incredibly sumptuous conditions in which past residents would have lived.
Highlights and walks
The highlights of the castle’s treasures include eight tapestries, the Tokugawa covered litter, the Aziatica collection of Chinese and Japanese porcelain and the impressive kitchenware collection of copper pots and pans. The castle is surrounded by a beautiful park and offers perfect walks through the avenues and formal gardens. The castle also organises children’s activities such as scavenger hunts.
